Amsterdam pics

Falafel me. I can't get enough of 'em. (FYI, falafel is a mixture of chickpeas, garlic, herbs, and spices, rolled into balls and deep fried. A falafel sandwich is falafels in a pita with hummos and veggies. It's a Middle Eastern dish.)
Chicago has hotdog and beef joints, Amsterdam has shawarma (aka gyros) joints. Cheap, delicious eats. Most offer salad bars-as seen on the left-where you dress your sandwich.
This nice gentlemen is cleaning the bar for my pic.

More deliciousness. This is a Surinamese (S. American) takeout restaurant located in the underground subway. The food is similiar to Indian.
No, crusty sandwiches or vending machines here.

A yummy samosa - a flaky pastry filled with veggies and meat.

And then we have this. More like GREAT CRAP OF AMERICA. Ugh.

Typical restroom where you place .50 euro on the dish to use. Sometimes you even get candy!

House boats on canal.

Sidewalk cafe along the canal. People still eat and drink outside when it's 55 degrees.

Bus looking vehicle is the "tram" one of Amsterdam's form of public trans.

See the wire thing on the back? That's what I had to pop my ass on.

Outdoor cafes often have chairs facing the square or street. I assume for people watching purposes.
