One thing I'm not diggin' about Amsterdam is it's common that you have to pay to use the toilet. For example, I was at a bar the other night and I had to pay .50 euro to use the toilet. I'd say about 40% of the time I've had to pay.

It was explained to me that you're paying for a clean restroom. If you don't pay, don't expect a clean restroom.
